A Reminder to Have Fun with Fashion in a Star Print Dress

Each day we are faced with the question, “What am I going to wear?” Answering that question 365 days a year, can easily make anyone slip into a style rut. At 7am when I’m tired and on auto pilot, I don’t get very creative . I choose neutrals, denim, and simple jewelry. Sure, there’s nothing wrong with that but it gets boring! So today, I’m wearing a pink star print dress and sharing some tips to have fun with fashion!

1. Implement some bright colors

While I love black, gray, and white sometimes, a bright color is needed. Give your outfit an instant refresh with a bright pink, royal blue, or stunning yellow. If color scares you, opt for smaller details that have a bold color.

2. Embrace fun prints

We live in the world where stars, succulents, polka dots, palm leaves, and gingham are chic. Take advantage of that! The stars on this dress instantly gave me a 4th of July, summertime, carnival vibe that I used to love as a kid.

3. Sport statement details

Ruffles, embroidery, lace, cut outs, or pleats are your new best friend! If you gravitate toward white tees, grab one with some ruffles to spice things up. Or go big with a statement blouse.

4. Accessorize!

Earrings, sunglasses, handbags, or rings are possibly the easiest way to make your look more fun. If you are bored with your wardrobe, go to Target or Nordstrom and grab some tassel earrings or stacked rings for an instant update.

5.Mix up your current wardrobe

I usually get bored with my clothes because I wear them the same way over and over. Chances are you have some great pieces that just need a little revamping. Scroll through Instagram, search using Pinterest, or check out your favorite bloggers for new ways to wear what you already own.

6. Don’t hold back!

If you’re going to have fun with fashion…have fun! This pink star print dress was not meant to be covered with a leather jacket or toned down. It was meant to be flaunted with cotton candy, the Seattle ferris wheel, and some pink lipstick.
