Blazing in Blush

I’ve finally made it to write another blog post! The past two weeks have been insanely busy. Mainly because I’ve been in Shanghai working at an event I’ve been planning. Needless to say, Shanghai was amazing! The only downside was the lack of shopping time…gah work trips ;)

Alright, rewind back to springtime. Can you remember what color filled department stores and magazines? That’s right, blush. The color that makes us yearn for blooming flowers in Paris or bubbling Rosé in a champagne flute. Two seasons later, our blooming flowers have wilted and our bubbling Rosé…well it’s probably still flowing. Fall doesn’t carry the same light hearted, romantic mood as spring. So with all the blush tones we purchased, what are we supposed to do now? Blush meet your new partner in crime, burgundy.

Burgundy and blush have been trending this season and I can understand why. The dark red perfectly offsets the light pink bringing the outfit into the dark, deeper tones of autumn.

Blazers are so versatile! I’ve worn this light pink blazer from Forever 21 so many different ways – with a blouse at work, ripped jeans on the weekends, or a graphic tee at happy hour. Pair it with a camel carry-all tote, and you’re set.

BaileyBridge-2Like I’ve said before, a versatile wardrobe is cost effective which is especially important to recent grads and young professionals. Don’t start pushing your pastels to back of your closet or folding your florals away for spring. Take a second look at your pieces and give them an autumn twist with your favorite fall hues. You might be surprised what you discover.
