A Short Story: Part 2

Here is part 2 of my summer serenade to shorts! While summer may be coming to a close (I am in denial), we still have many warm days ahead of us. These shorts have been on repeat for a few weeks now. Why? 1) They go with everything 2) They feel like pajamas 3) They can be dressed up or dressed down.

While filling the time before my bus arrived, I popped into Old Navy. My main objective was to avoid waiting at the bus stop, but instead I was greeted by these green linen shorts.  I was instantly intrigued and for $10, I had nothing to lose. No thoughts, just grab, pay, and run to the bus. My priorities are so transparent.

Shorts – still available! or similar here  Jacket – similar here & here  Earrings similar here and here  Bag – similar here & here Seattle Fashion BloggerI paired these rather casual shorts with this crisp white jacket from H&M. $15 on clearance, originally $60. When shopping for clothes that look expensive, keep an eye out for the details of the garment. For instance this jacket is highly detailed with zippers, stitching, tufted , and smooth leather. These intricate details make the jacket look more expensive than it really is.

The final touch were these honey bee earrings.

Don’t let the end of August, signal the end of shorts season. Let it be the signal of shorts on sale! Fashion can come at a bargain…you just need an eye for style and some good timing.
